Snowquester: Where to Find Food in Silver Spring

Some grocery stores and restaurants opened for business Wednesday, despite a grim and snowy forecast.

The "snowquester" closings countdown clock is on, with Montgomery County government, Maryland government, the federal government and county schools announcing snow days. Good news for those of us that didn't stock up yesterday: There are still plenty of places to get food in downtown Silver Spring, whether you're off work or not.

Grocery stores:

Whole Foods, 833 Wayne Ave.: The store posted a message on its Facebook page Wednesday morning that it would be open at 8 a.m., if not fully stocked.

Restaurants:

It appears to be a normal day for many restaurants in downtown Silver Spring. Lebanese Taverna, Pacci's Neapolitan Pizzeria and Adega Wine Cellars and Cafe all announced on Facebook that they are open regular hours Wednesday.

Pacci's Trattoria, located at 6 Post Office Road, will be closed today.
