Welcome back to our new series called "Changes in Your Community!" During this series, we are continuing to explore development and what that has meant to the diverse neighborhoods in Silver Spring. Throughout this feature you will meet Montgomery County officials working behind the scenes on the expansion of these projects, small business owners, and local leaders among others.
In part two of this series, we interview Jerry McCoy who is the founder of the Silver Sping Historical Society. McCoy moved to Silver Spring and wanted to learn more about it but couldn't find any information so he created his non profit organization. McCoy talked to Patch about building for Silver Spring's future while educating future generations about it's past.
