5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 10

What five things do you need to know to stay up-to-date about what’s going on in the community? Well, Patch has you covered  on this Tuesday morning!

1. As that gospel song goes, let it shine...let it shine. Today's weather is set to be beautiful according to the National Weather service. The skies will be mostly sunny, with a Hi near 74 and a wind from the North between 3 and 6 mph. Into the evening drive be aware of foggy spots but otherwise it should be  partly cloudy, with a Lo around 50.

2. The new Bonifant Theatre (located at 949 Bonifant St.) is hosting a poetry event on May 10 (that's tonight) at 7 p.m. They're serving beer and wine with a DJ on the ones and twos holding it down and  a $10 cover that will go to support the arts. For more information you can call 301-588-5118.
