Good morning, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know this Thursday, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:

1. Expect sunny skies and calms winds throughout your day, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures may reach a high of 63 degrees.
Into the evening, expect cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 40s.

2. If you missed it, Mitt Romney wins Maryland after he received $1 million from residents. Most of his donations came from Potomac, Bethesda and Chevy Chase residents.

3. Members of the Montgomery County delegation to the Maryland General Assembly and the Department of Economic Development are hosting a special town hall forum in Silver Spring at the Mid-County Community Recreation Center at 7 p.m. The meeting is focused on a proposal by Governor O’Malley to construct a 400– 600 Megawatt wind energy generating facility off the coast of Ocean City.

4. Looking for a happy hour in Silver Spring? Fire Station One, located at 8131 Georgia Ave., has half-price wines, $3 draft beers, 50 cent wings, and $5 martinis. Their happy hour is from 3 to 7 p.m.
