Welcome to Tuesday, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know today, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:

1. Expect a much warmer day with temperatures reaching 86 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The evening should be clear and much cooler with temperatures dipping into the low 60s.

2. If you missed the story, thousands of people attended the eighth annual jazz concert this past weekend. Silver Spring native Marcus Johnson headlined the concert.

3. The Montgomery County Council's Public Safety Committee begins a work session Thursday morning to work on the next step for the controversial proposed teen curfew law. 

4. Looking for cheap gas to fill your tank? Gasbuddy.com shows the three cheapest stations near the downtown area include: Oceanic, located at 101 University Blvd. W and U.S. 29, for $3.55; Shell, located at 100 University Blvd. W & Colesville Rd., for 3.56; and 7-Eleven, located at 650 University Blvd. E near Piney Branch Rd.
