Here are five things you need to know as you start your Wednesday.

Welcome to Humpday, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know today, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:

1. Some of last week's showers may be coming back, according to the National Weather Service. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., but the skies should be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching 86 degrees. Into the evening, thunderstorms are likely, with temperatures dropping to the 60s. 

2. If you missed the story, the Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board to the community's input on the proposed teen curfew law Monday. Residents voiced their skepticism about the effectiveness of implementing a curfew.

3. Whole Foods is hosting a tasting in its Silver Spring store, which is located on 833 Wayne Ave. Multiple departments will get together and dish out a variety of goodies including cheeses, fresh seafood and salad.
