Fall Fashion Show Features Models of All Sizes

Metamorphosis Wardrobe & Accessories Boutique featured sizes for a variety of body types.

On the eve of DC Fashion Week, Downtown Silver Spring store Metamorphosis Wardrobe & Accessories Boutique hosted its fourth fashion show on Sunday. Known for its eclectic collection of clothing and hats they channeled their slogan, "If it's not unique, we don't carry it!" The Boutique's fashion show featured models in all shapes and sizes from slim to full-figured, as they strutted the red carpet in two-piece suits, dresses and valero pant sets in mostly gray and black, reflecting this season's runway trends.  Each style was outfitted with a matching hat and accessories.

Pieces were detailed with ruffles, ruching and flowing layers in various textures, reflecting designers from as far away as Denmark. One popular style was a silver, ruffled dress with a plunging neckline that fit snugly to the body.

Sharon Bullock, Metamorphosis owner and MC for the event, said that 's what she chooses to display in her store as a direct reflection on what her customers are demanding.

"I just listened to my customers," said the stylish owner.  "When I first opened the store I had smaller sizes, then people began to ask, 'what about us?' Then I started searching for designers that could offer fashionable pieces in a range of sizes."

The store is located on 811 Wayne Ave in Downtown Silver Spring and opened its doors in November 2007.  Everything featured in the show was for sale in the store.
