Grab & Go Kids Planner: Feb. 16 through Feb. 22

It's going to be hard to decide what to do this week with the kids with all the choices in Silver Spring. Here are some of the events we think you'll love:

• POTTERY PAINTING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Where/When: It's at on Thursday night. The fun starts at 5 p.m.
Why Go: It's amazing how quiet the kids get when they're concentrating on painting the perfect piece of pottery. Bring friends and everyone can relax and have fun for a low studio fee.
Pricing: $15 per table.

• STORY TIME AT BORDERS
Where/When: hosts on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Why Go: You can peruse the books at Borders while the kids enjoy some fun stories and songs.
Pricing: FREE

Where/When: Brookside Nature Center is the place to be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Not only do you get to see how maple syrup is made, you get to taste it, too. Everyone can enjoy a seasonal tradition in a great indoor and outdoor setting.
Pricing: FREE

• PLANETARIUM SHOW: WINTER NIGHT SKY
Where/When: Check out Rock Creek Park Planetarium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Why Go: The whole family will be mesmerized by the night sky during the day. You might even spend the weekend talking about all the stars and planets and the stories you heard during the show.
Pricing: FREE

• MR. GABE
Where/When: Next Wednesday you can find at at 10 a.m.
Why Go: Support a local performer! The kids will just love listening to this Takoma Park dad play his guitar and sing some fun kids' songs.
Pricing: $5 + $1.11 processing fee
