If you're trying to find parking in the Montgomery Hills neighborhood in Silver Spring, be aware that higher rates go into effect on July 1.
The new rates are $0.50 an hour for short-term and long-term parking in the parking district along Georgia Avenue just south of the Capital Beltway.
