Senator Meets with Seniors on Tax Day, Talks Medicare Reform
Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin spoke about President Barack Obama's budget at Riderwood Retirement community in Silver Spring Monday.
Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin stopped by Silver Spring Monday, Tax Day, to speak with senior citizens about the country's budget.
Before he visited Riderwood Retirement Community April 15, Cardin said that he was "satisfied with the overall framework of the president’s budget," but was not convinced on proposed reforms to Social Security and Medicare.
“I agree that reforms may be required, but we must ensure that the promises made to beneficiaries truly are truly rock-solid,” Cardin said in a statement.
