Earth Month Event: Paper Shredding and Electronic Recycling

GREENWHEATON WILL HOST A PAPER SHREDDING & ELECTRONIC RECYCLING EVENT

On Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 9 am to 12 noon, GreenWheaton will host a paper shredding and electronic recycling event in the Signal Financial Federal Credit Union Parking Lot in Kensington MD

This event is a part of GreenWheaton’s continuing efforts to promote its “green” programming and projects in the Wheaton community.

For the fourth year, Office Paper Systems, providers of freesecureshredding.com, a shredding company located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, will provide the shredding service. The community is invited to bring all of their unwanted paper to be securely shredded on site in the parking lot. For the first time freesecureshredding.com will also be collecting electronics. Residents can also bring their unwanted computers, electronics and small appliances for disposal. More information about acceptable items may be found at http://www.freesecureshredding.com/green-community-service/.

Volunteers are needed to help direct traffic and coordinate the vehicles dropping off documents and equipment. For more information on volunteering contact GreenWheaton at info@greenwheaton.org.

This event is provided with the support of our sponsors; Signal Financial Federal Credit Union and the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection.
