Maimah Karmo, a young women in her 30's found herself with a terrible diagnosis of breast cancer. Under 40 with breast cancer? YES. After being misdiagnosed and naturally delayed treatment Maimah found herself fighting for her life, literally. Single with a young daughter, Maimah made a commitment to God, that if she were to survive this disease she would work to be sure other young women did not go through what she was going through. Fast forward, Maimah has kept that commitment and has exceeded what she herself may have thought was possible. Today she sits at the head of a foundation dedicated to working with women under 40 diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Tigerlily foundation.
