Medical Museum Science Café: “Artificial Limbs During the Civil War,” a presentation by Guy R. Hasegawa

Join the National Museum of Health and Medicine and historian Guy R. Hasegawa for a talk on the manufacturing of artificial limbs during the Civil War, including how they were provided to amputees during the conflict. Hasegawa will also discuss his new book, “Mending Broken Soldiers: The Union and Confederate Programs to Supply Artificial Limbs.” Books will be available for purchase.
