Northwood typically produces a traditional musical in the fall, a dramatic play in the winter and presents Billboard Magic, a musical revue in the spring.

Students enrolled in the Academy are strongly encouraged to participate in all three productions.

Macbeth was chosen by the Academy Staff
to show off the talented students currently enrolled in their Academy programs.

The Academy of Musical Theatre hopes that this show will be another selling point for prospective students to choose Northwood and the Academy of Musical Theatre for their high school experience.

This year, the Academy Staff has planned a Community Outreach Show on March 5 at 6:30pm. Current MCPS Middle School students are invited to attend this show at no charge.  Senior citizens will be free on this night, and parents accompanying their Middle School children will be asked to pay $5 each.  In addition, community nursing homes and senior centers are being invited at no charge!

Macbeth is being directed by Jesse Hull, with English teacher Corey Ahearn serving as linguistics coach. Norman Brooks will be responsible for the set construction and design.  Technical Director Johnny Thrift and the Northwood High School tech crew help give the show a highly polished and professional feel.  More than 30 students are involved in the production as cast and crew.

Tickets are available at the door for $8 (students), $10 (general admission), and $5 (senior citizens).
