Tree Lighting Celebration and Unveiling of Holiday Art Installation

Downtown Silver Spring, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, today announced the 2nd Annual “Re-Imagining The Holidays” event scheduled for Saturday, November 16th from 6-8 pm on the
Fountain Plaza.
The highlight of the event will be the official Tree Lighting and Unveiling of Playtime Jubilee, a holiday art installation created by Karl Unnasch featuring a metal tree armature structure standing 30 feet tall adorned with hundreds of indoor and outdoor toys and youth sporting goods of all shapes, colors and sizes.
The art installation will

remain on display for approximately 10 weeks on the Fountain Plaza in Downtown

Silver Spring and will then be disassembled and donated to a local youth

organization.
