Zombies Strike Heart of Downtown Silver Spring
The Silver Spring Zombie Walk carried on, undeterred by a bomb threat at a movie theater along the route.
Zombies briefly took over Silver Spring on Saturday night, walking from Jackie's Restaurant (8081 Georgia Ave.) to the AFI Silver Theatre (8633 Colesville Road) in time for a 10:15 p.m. showing of Return of the Living Dead.
From Jackie's, the Silver Spring Zombie Walk went east on Sligo Avenue and north on Fenton Street, but encountered a bit of a detour at the intersection of Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive due to a bomb threat at the Regal Majestic Stadium (900 Ellsworth Dr.)
