Maryland Historical Society Hosts a Flower Show

Green Spring Valley Garden Club started in 1912.

Silver Spring gardeners can take a break from working in their yard Tuesday and find fellowship with the Green Spring Valley Garden Club (GSVGC) as they celebrate 100 years as a Garden Club of America (GCA).

The GSVGC organization spawned from 20 prominent Maryland women in the Green Spring Valley area who wanted to start a competition and share their gardening skills.
