Good morning, Silver Spring and Happy Veterans Day! Here are five things to know this Friday, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:

1. Expect a sunny day with temperatures rising into the 50s, according to the National Weather Service. During the evening temperatures may drop into the low 30s.

Weekend Forecast: Saturday and Sunday should be mostly sunny, with temperatures into the 60s during the day and in the evening it may drop to the 30s.

2. Celebrate Veterans Day with local and state officials at the Silver Spring Civic Center as they unveil “Tribute to Our Veterans”, a new bronze and glass sculpture at Veterans Plaza on Friday, Nov. 11. T
