Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know this Thursday, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:

1. Put away your rain coats and umbrellas. The skies should be sunny, with temperatures reaching a high near 55, according to the National Weather Service. Later on this evening, the temperatures are expected to drop to a low near 40.

2. Montgomery County Police and Maryland State Police officers are making sure the roads stay safe this holiday season. The force is working to detect alcohol and drug related offenses.
