Happy Halloween, Silver Spring! Here are five things to know today, to help you keep up-to-date about what’s going on in the community:
1. Expect a mostly sunny day with temperatures reaching a high near 56, according to the National Weather Service. Into the evening, there is a chance of rain. Temperatures may reach a low of 43.
2. Looking for the fright of your life this Halloween? You can visit Bennetts Curse haunted attraction. Today is the last day to enjoy one of America's Best Haunted Houses.

3. If you are looking for something more local, the Haunted Garden is sure to scare your pants off. Animated props, vampires, witches, and zombies galore!
4. Trick-or-treat with a purpose at the Silver Spring Civic Center to enjoy ice skating, treats, music and donate canned goods to help feed those in need in the community. Join the Halloween party in located on One Veterans Plaza. The event takes place on Monday, Oct. 31. It starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.
