Riderwood Residents Celebrate Veterans Day
Riderwood retirement community rally for peace.
On Veterans Day, the Riderwood retirement community of veterans from the U.S. Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard rallied for peace.
They were joined by their spouses – who kept their families together on the home front during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War – and by their fellow residents. The hour-long ceremony included tributes to all branches of the military, as well as anecdotal stories of life in the military from the following residents.
