Fun & Advocacy at 'Skate for Concussions' this weekend

This 3-day weekend of outdoor fun and ice skating will be memory-making for all ages, as well as educational, while also raising funds and awareness to “inspire millions” in the DC/MD/VA region about sports-related concussions. There will be free entertainment, food, prizes, and more, and a portion of proceeds from ice skating admission plus sponsor donations will benefit the “I Promise” campaign. The event runs Friday, January 24 through Sunday, January 26 at Silver Spring Ice Skating at Veterans Plaza, 8523 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, MD. Everyone's welcome! Friday: 2 - 10 pm; Saturday: 12 - 10 pm; Sunday: 12 - 10 pm. For more information, call the rink's hotline, 301-588-1221, and visit www.SilverSpringIceSkating.com. See skating exhibitions and much more. See the rink in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5A5rGnSHw8&feature=youtu.be- a perfect way to celebrate winter.
