5-Year-Old Boy Falls from Apartment Complex Window

Police confirm the boy fell out of a window about 30 feet high.

A 5-year-old boy fell from an apartment building Monday afternoon, according to Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Janelle Smith.

At about 3:30 p.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to a 911 call from the 100 block of Schyuler Road in Silver Spring after teenagers walking in the area heard cries coming from the back of the apartment building, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman.

"They went to investigate and found a boy laying on the ground and that it was more than likely he fell out of a window," Garcia said.
