I saw the aftermath and the corolla was a total loss and looked to me as if it had caught fire.they really need another light and lane seperation there because its extremely dangerous for pedestrians crossing as well

Olin was a very close friend of mine. He had one of the kindest hearts of anyone I've ever met and would do anything for his friends. My heart is breaking for his wife and family. He's going to be greatly missed by many.

Sylvia was a very close friend of mine, and I hung out with Olin a couple of times as well. Both of them had gentle hearts that knew how to live life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment with those two around. They will both be missed greatly.

I didnt know either of the deceased, however, Olins little brother Zachary, and my son are best friends, and Olins mother Angie is the sweetest lady. My heart breaks for them. I myself lost a 26 year old brother in a horrible car accident, and knowing that life for this family that I love, has drastically changed....just kills me:(

I was friends with Sylvia Clarice Taiko Reiff. I only knew her through a social networking site. I knew her personality, her talent as an artist, her great sense of humor, and her will to succeed in life. A large group of us spoke with her daily for hours on end every day for months. I send my regrets to her family. She was truly a wonderful person and you must have been so proud of her. We were! Our prayers are with each of you & for everyone that was involved in the accident. Stay strong just like she was. sincerely, Kendra Mediamolle, New Orleans, LA

Sylvia Clarice Reiff (named after her grandmother, so we all called her "Clarice") did grow up on Walsh St. in Chevy Chase and lived with her grandparents, who are a remarkable couple. I just heard from Sylvia Reiff today, calling from Reno where they moved a couple of years ago, to advise of her granddaughter's death. They were advised via the dreaded visit from the state police to notify the family of the fatal accident. They are still in shock and devastated. The Reiff's are coming back to Bethesda, as well as Clarice's mother, Angela, to deal with this tragic situation. The Reiff's have many friends in the area, and we are rallying to support them in any way. Clarice was lovingly raised, and she was indeed a very intelligent and talented gal who had found a place for herself in this world. My thoughts are with her. My condolences to the family of Olin Sorenson for their loss. Sincerely, Bonny Palmer of Bethesda

My name is Marvie Barton and I am Olin Sorenson's Aunt, his Mother Angela Barton Sorenson is my baby sister. Words can't explain the lost and grief we are feeling for our family and Sylvia's family at this time. Please keep us in your prayers as we struggle to understand why not question why God has called them home. Elaina please know that our family is praying for you and we will always be here for you. God always has a plan and we will wait patiently for our next assignment. Olin was a hiper yet very gifted young man that served our country from the Navy. His tour of duty wasn't even a year old. We feel blessed that God saw forth to give him a wife in Elaina, and please know that we are here for you. God has a plan for all of our lives we miss him and you and we will cherish the memories that we have forever. Love always Auntie Marvie

I met Sylvia when she was 4 going on 5. She taught me a couple of songs in Japanese back in the early 90's. She, her mother and I hung out together a lot at parks, we'd walk bethesda for hours having a blast singing silly songs. Just walking down the street with them was so joyful, passers by laughed and giggled at this little brilliant girl who had could bring joy into anyone and everyone that came into contact with her even for a moment. I will treasure those years forever as I always have. RIP~ lil' Angel.

Olin has been a close friend & a part of our family for nearly half of his life. He was kind & generous, he lived happy, with honor & integrity. His mother is wonderful, & his brothers are good young men that where honored to have Olin as an older brother, as an example. I will think of him everyday, as some of his gifts literally help to hold me up. Olin's smile, energy, kindness, & joy of living his life, is an inspiration to stay happy & "Make a Difference". We did not know Sylvia, but do feel so bad for her loss, and for the pain that both families must endure. We will miss you, Your best friends in the NW, Veanna & her family, Michael, Laura, Levi, & Alyssa Willard

All are invited to Sylvia Clarice Reiff's memorial service! Obit in Wash. Post follows: Sylvia was born 19 March 1988 in Gaithersburg to Angela Reiff Jackson and the late Willie Lee Jackson. Sylvia attended Beauvoir School, NCS, Chevy Chase Elementary, graduated from Whitman High School in 2006 and attended Montgomery College, Rockville. She was employed by Giant Food. She leaves her mother, Angela Jackson of Ft. Lauderdale , Florida, her grandparents, Fred and Sylvia Reiff of Reno, Nevada (formerly of Chevy Chase), an uncle, Peter M. Reiff ; cousins, Colton and Riley Reiff, of Stephen’s City, Virginia; cousins Peter M. (P.J.) Reiff, Jr., Maura D. Reiff, and Hunter A. Reiff of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Dubbed by one nursery school teacher as “an old soul”, this unusual child was reading before the age of two years and was learning to read and write Japanese as well as English before kindergarten. Known by some as “Sylvia” and by others as “Clarice”, but beloved by all, this talented and versatile young woman will be remembered by her unique art work, for her leadership among her many friends, and for her four-octave voice range that made her singing a pleasure to hear. A memorial service will be held June 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 11700 Falls Road, Potomac. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sylvia’s memory may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 637, Washington Grove, MD 20880
