Father Charged After Boy Fell From Silver Spring Apartment Window

The father of the 4-year-old boy who fell from the window of a Silver Spring apartment last month was charged with neglect. 

Christopher Harley, 30, of Temple Hills, MD was arrested Oct. 26 and charged with child neglect and leaving a child under the age of 8 unattended, police said. Harley was released on bond.

Police said the boy, who remains hospitalized in critical condition, was left unattended in the apartment in the 8800 block of Piney Branch Road on Oct. 11. He fell from the window of a 9th floor apartment and sustained life-threatening injuries.
