Flood Warning Extended for County, Roads Closed

Heavy rainfall has caused many roads in Montgomery County to close because of flooding. A flash flood warning has been extended into the evening.

Continued heavy rainfall has prompted Montgomery County officials to close a number of roads throughout the county.

A flash flood warning has been extended for Montgomery County until 10 p.m.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, as of late Wednesday afternoon the following roads are closed:

  • Barnesville Rd
  • Berryville Rd
  • Blunt Rd- Brink to Wayfarer- high water
  • Brighton Dam Rd. from Bordly to the bridge
  • Brookeville Rd-Between Gay Heaven Manor Rd and Georgia Ave
  • Davis Mill- Blunt to Wildcat- high water
  • 3100 Decatur Ave.
  • Emory La-Between Pine Tree Rd and Cavalry
  • Edwards Ferry Rd
  • Goshen Rd- Between Warfield Rd and East Village Ave; due to high water
  • Gue Rd- Between Howard Chapel Dr and Mt Radnor- High Water
  • Huntmaster @ Davis Mill water has now crested over the bridge
  • Kensington Blvd. from East Bexhill to Gilmore Pl
  • Kingstead Rd between Kingsvalley and Burnthill rd- high water
  • Log House Road
  • Long Corner Rd between Mullinex Mill and 108 -High Water
  • Quince Orchard Rd near Hidden Brook Dr
  • Riffle Ford Rd
  • River Rd @ Willard
  • Tucker La. from Ednor View Terr. To 108
  • West Old Baltimore
  • Wildcat Rd - Brink to Davis Mill-high water
Residents are asked to avoid these areas and not drive through water over roadways.
