Man Identified in White Oak Shooting

Police are offering an award of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in the homicide.

Montgomery County police have identified the 21-year-old man who was killed inside his White Oak apartment Friday afternoon.

Detectives from the department's Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the death of Jesse Patrick Campos, of the 11400 block of July Drive.

According to police, Campos was shot inside his apartment around 3:45 p.m. Friday and died at the scene.

A police investigation revealed that two suspects tried to get into the residence by forcing a roommate to open the door. After the suspects gained entry, they shot Campos and fled the scene, police said, leaving the male roommate and another adult female uninjured inside.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070.
