A Silver Spring man jumped out a window after he was shot by a robber. He is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Silver Spring resident is recovering from injuries from jumping out his third-floor apartment window after he was shot by a robber, reports WJLA TV.

Police said that a group of robbers, at least one of which was armed, entered an apartment in the 11500 block of February Circle late Wednesday night. One of the apartment occupants was shot before jumping out a window. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neighbors gave police a description of the suspects' vehicle, which officers found a later that night near the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Route 29 in Silver Spring, the TV station says. The car's driver did not immediately stop when officers tried to pull it over and a chase ensued. Once the car stopped, its occupants fled on foot but were caught.
