Montgomery County Police Officer Sherif Almiggabber returned home with not one, but two gold medals, after competing in an international tournament.

Almiggabber played in the World Police and Fire Games in the Belfast, Northern Ireland from Aug. 1 to 10.

A patrol officer in the 4th District, he won his two medals in Greco Roman and freestyle wrestling. He had previously won silver medals in each event in 2011.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, "the World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) is a biennial athletic event, open to active and retired law enforcement and fire service personnel throughout the world. The WPFG Federation is an arm of the California Police Athletic Federation (CPAF), an American non-profit organization."

The next World Police and Fire Games will be held in Fairfax County, VA, in 2015.
