Metro Bus Passenger Convicted for Stabbing

The incident started near the Silver Spring station.

A Metro bus passenger is headed to prison after being convicted of attempted second-degree murder Tuesday.

Victor McEachin, 52, stabbed a bus driver after he was told to stop masturbating, according to an Examiner report.

The incident began after midnight on Oct. 11 when the Y7 bus driver left the Silver Spring station. A passenger alerted the bus driver that McEachin was touching himself, according to police officials.

When the bus arrived at the Wheaton Station, the bus driver and McEachin got into a heated argument and resulted in the driver being stabbed in the stomach, according to the report.

McEachin faces additional charges for attacking the female friend of the bus driver who tried to assist in the alercation. He faces up to 40 years in prison.
