Montgomery County Fire and Explosive officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials arrived at the scene of a blazing house fire on the 500 block of East Indian Spring Drive about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

About 44 firefighters were dispatched to help extinguish the flames, said Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Capt. Oscar Garcia.

The firefighters "saw fire and smoke from the first floor extending to the attic and roof area," he explained.
