News in Review: Safeway Remodels and Female Jogger Assaulted

If you missed the news this week in Silver Spring, no worries. We cover it here in our weekly review!

This week we reported on the , , , and crime. 

1. A female jogger was assaulted near Woodman Avenue and Sligo Creek Park on Friday. Around 4:20 p.m., the jogger noticed a man traveling on the path coming toward her, according to an email from Lt. Lauryn McNeill. When the suspect got close, he then allegedly knocked her to the ground and slapped her. 

2. Prevent your next home improvement project from turning into a nightmare. Silver Spring resident Barbara Conklin had to remodel her roof and friends sent her company referrals in April. She instead went with the one company who came knocking on the door and it was an experience Conklin says she won't forget.
