As news of the Discovery gunman and hostage situation got out, media outlets descended on downtown Silver Spring. Reporters and cameras from the Associated Press, Reuters, ABC 7, MSNBC, News Channel 8, Fox5 DC, WAMU 88.5, CNN, WTOP News and local bloggers were among those on the scene.
