Police Blotter: Summary of Crimes the Week of Aug. 29 to Sept. 7

In this week's crime summary residential burglaries top the list.

This week in the Montgomery County Police major crimes summary for the area near downtown Silver Spring, residential burglaries dominate the report. Crimes reported for the week of Aug. 29 to Sept. 9 are as follows:

  • Georgia Avenue and Hildarose Drive: An aggravated assault occurred in the area of Forest Glen on Monday, Sept. 5, at 8:42 p.m. The two adult male victims were assaulted.
  • 10000 Brunswick Avenue: A residential burglary occurred in this area of Forest Glen on Tuesday, Sept. 6, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The suspect(s) used unknown means to enter the unit and removed property.

  • 2300 Coleridge Drive: A residential burglary occurred in this area of Forest Glen on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 1:13 p.m. There was forced entry and it was unknown what was taken.
  • 9500 McAlpine Road: A residential burglary occurred in this block of Silver Spring on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6:43 p.m.There was an unknown means of entry and unknown whether anything was taken.
