Police Blotter: Summary of Crimes the Week of Oct. 24 and Nov. 1

In this week's crime summary residential burglaries top the list.

This week in the Montgomery County Police major crimes summary for the area near downtown Silver Spring, residential burglaries dominate the report. Crimes reported for the week of Oct. 24 and Nov. 1 are as follows:

  • 7600 Eastern Avenue: A strong-arm robbery occurred in this area on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 8:44 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • 700 Sligo Avenue: A strong-arm robbery occurred in this block on Monday, Oct. 31 at 10 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victims and obtained property.
  • 9100 Watson Drive: A residential burglary occurred on Friday, Oct. 28 between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. in this block. There was a forced entry and property was taken.
  • 100 Schuyler Road: A residential burglary occurred in this block on Friday, Oct. 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 7:10 p.m. There was an unforced entry and property was taken.
  • 8500 11th Avenue: An attempted residential burglary occurred in this block between 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31 and 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1.  There was an attempted forced entry and nothing was taken.
