Police Blotter: Summary of Crimes the Week of Sept. 19 to Sept. 27

In this week's crime summary, residential burglaries along with robbery in Silver Spring kept Montgomery County Police officers busy.

This week in the Montgomery County Police major crimes for the week summary in Silver Spring, residential burglaries along with car thefts dominate the report. Crimes reported for the week of Sept. 19 to Sept. 27 are as follows:

  • 500 Thayer Avenue: An armed robbery/vehicle theft occurred on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 5:40 a.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
  • 600 McNeil Road: A residential burglary occurred on Thursday, Sept. 22, between 12:45 p.m. and 4:47 p.m. There was a forced entry and property taken.
  • 900 University Boulevard East: A robbery occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 8:30 p.m. Two juveniles were arrested.
  • 8500 Piney Branch Road: A robbery occurred on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 12:58 a.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
