Police Blotter: Summary of Crimes Week of Dec. 26 - Jan. 3

Robberies and residential burglaries were reported.

Residential burglaries dominate the Montgomery County Police weekly major crimes summary for the Silver Spring area. Crimes reported for the week of Dec. 26 to Jan. 3 are as follows:

800 block of Gist Avenue: A robbery occurred in this area on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9:52 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.

8000 block of 13 Street: A robbery occurred in this area on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 12 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.

Subway restaurant, 8040 13 Street: A commercial robbery occurred on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 8:25 p.m. The suspect threatened the victims with a weapon and obtained property.

400 block of Deerfield Avenue: A residential burglary occurred on Sunday, Jan. 1 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. There wasn't a forced entry and property was taken.

8600 block of Colesville Road: A carjacking occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9:30 p.m. The suspect displayed a weapon and obtained property and the victim’s vehicle.

1800 block of Myrtle Road: A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 3 between 10:30 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. There was a forced entry and property was taken.

1700 block of Sherwood Road: A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 3 between 2 p.m. and 7:11 p.m. There was a forced entry and property was taken.

1000 block of Noyes Drive: A residential burglary occurred on Monday, Jan. 2 between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. There was a forced entry and property was taken.

10200 block of Gardner Avenue: A residential burglary occurred between 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31 and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1. There was an attempted forced entry, but nothing was taken.

2400 block of Eccleston Street: A residential burglary occurred on Monday, Dec. 26 at 2:28 a.m. There was a forced entry and it was unknown what was taken.

200 block of University Boulevard E.: A residential burglary occurred on Saturday, Dec. 31 and 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1. There wasn't a forced entry, but property was taken.
