The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Montgomery County Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Burglary
- Between Thursday, Aug. 16 at 4 p.m. and Friday, Aug.17 at 8:53 a.m.: A residential burglary occurred in the 7700 block of Fenton St. There was a forced entry and property was taken.
- Saturday, Aug. 18 at 11:25 p.m.: A residential burglary occurred in the 1000 block of Ruatan St. There was unknown means of entry and it was unknown whether anything was taken.
- Thursday, Aug. 16 between 8 a.m. and 11:52 a.m.: A residential burglary occurred in the 8800 block of Piney Branch Rd. There was a forced entry and property was taken.
Robbery
- Sunday, Aug. 19 at 4:49 a.m.: An attempted robbery/assault occurred in the area of Colesville Road and Sligo Creek Parkway. The suspect assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.
- Thursday, Aug. 16 at 8:39 p.m.: An armed robbery occurred at the Shell Station located at 9510 Georgia Ave. The suspect entered the station, produced a gun, and demanded cash. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of proceeds.
- Sunday, Aug. 19 at 11:25 p.m.: A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 1000 block of University Boulevard E. The suspects forcefully removed property from the victim, then fled.
- Sunday, Aug. 19 at 4:40 p.m.: A robbery occurred at The Public Storage, 10717 Hillwood Dr. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.
Assault
- Saturday, Aug. 18 at 2:03 a.m.: An aggravated assault occurred in the 500 block of Domer Ave. by a known suspect.
- Thursday, Aug. 16 at 5 p.m.: An aggravated assault occurred in front of the 7-Eleven located at 650 University Blvd. The suspect assaulted the victim and was arrested. A 40-year-old man was arrested.
- Sunday, Aug. 19 at 3 a.m.: A burglary occurred at Broad Acres Elementary School located at 710 Beacon Road. There wasn’t a forced entry. A 13-year-old and 17-year-old teen was arrested.
