Police Report Armed Robbery of Silver Spring Safeway
Montgomery County Police in search of two suspects.
Two men walked into a local Safeway grocery store and robbed it by gun point, according to an official press release by Montgomery County Police officials.
An initial investigation by police revealed that two suspects came into the store, located on 116 University Blvd. W, Friday, July 15 and walked into a store office. Inside, they saw an employee and then one suspect pulled out a handgun while the other suspect punched the employee in the face.
An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from the cash drawers in the office.

Montgomery County Detectives are asking that anyone who may recognize the suspects in the photos to call the Robbery Section at 240-773-5100.
