UPDATE: Missing 11-year-old Shanice Elliot Found Safe

Shanice had been last seen Friday at Francis Scott Key Middle School in Silver Spring.

Shanice Elliot, who had gone missing Friday afternoon, was found safe and unharmed on Saturday, police said.

Montgomery County police are searching for a missing 11-year-old girl from Silver Spring.

Shanice Elliot, of the 11200 block of Lockwood Drive, was last seen at approximately 2:40 p.m. on March 16, according to police. She left Francis Scott Key Middle School, located at 910 Schindler Dr. in Silver Spring, and never returned home from school.

Police described Shanice as a black female, approximately 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 80 pounds. She has brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair that she wears in a ponytail. She has yellow and blue braces on her teeth, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and pink sweatpants.

Police and family are very concerned for her welfare because of her age. She has never been missing before, according to police.
