Police Want Help Finding Silver Spring McDonald's Gunman

No one was hurt when a shot was fired Nov. 14 at the downtown Silver Spring restaurant.

A shot was fired at McDonald's in downtown Silver Spring on Nov. 14 and Montgomery County police detectives want your help in figuring out who was  behind the gun. A video attached to this article was released by police in hopes of identifying smeone who may be connected with the shooting in which no one was hurt. 

Officers responded to the restaurant around 9:37 p.m. for reports of a shooting, accrding to a police news release. Detectives discovered that the suspect went into the McDonald's and asked to be let into a locked bathroom, police said. When an employee let him in by pressing a button, one gunshot was heard from the bathroom, the release stated. 

Police said the suspect then left the restaurant. Responding officers found a bullet hole in the men's restroom and a fragment of a bullet on the bathroom floor but no gun, police report.

Detectives are releasing video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help.  Anyone who may have information about this incident or the suspect involved is asked to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 301-565-5835.
