Silver Spring Crime: Three Robberies, One Assault Reported

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

According to Montgomery County Police, robberies were the most prominent crime between March 5 to March 13, 2012 in downtown Silver Spring:

8400 block of Second Avenue: An armed robbery occurred on Friday, March 9 at 9:13 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

700 block of Silver Spring Avenue: An armed robbery occurred on Saturday, March 10 at 1:20 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

A unit block of Manchester Place: A robbery occurred on Tuesday, March 13 at 1:13 a.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.

8800 block of Glenville Road: An aggravated assault occurred on Saturday, March 10 at 12:17 p.m. The 17-year-old suspect assaulted the victim and was arrested.
