Silver Spring Hotel Robber Uses Pepper Spray

Police: The man first inquired about a reservation at the Comfort Inn.

A man used pepper spray to rob a Silver Spring hotel shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to Montgomery County police.

Police said a man approached the receptionist at the Comfort Inn, at 7990 Georgia Ave., and asked about a reservation. He then sprayed the receptionist with pepper spray, snatched the credit authorization book, and fled on foot, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches, and 145 pounds. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a white shirt with black sleeves, police said.
