Silver Spring Man Accused of Filming 'Up Skirt' Videos, Uploading to YouTube

A 26-year-old was arrested by Takoma Park police in incidents in which women were videotaped without their consent.

A Silver Spring man has been charged in a scheme to shoot videos angled under the skirts of several Takoma Park women without their knowledge, according to Takoma Park police. The alleged perpetrator said that he posted the videos on YouTube, the Gazette reports

Tapha Masai Nyang, 26, was arrested after Takoma Park police received a call in reference to a suspicious man carrying a black backpack and asking questions about directions to College Park, police said.

The description matched those of previous calls about a man videotaping under skirts of women. The man was found by police at the Takoma Metro Station bus stop and one of the victims identified Nyang as the person who approached her and tried to videotape her.

Three victims have been identified so far. Takoma Park detectives said there are other possible victims and that some may be minors.

Nyang was charged with two counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent, the Gazette reports, but other charges may come later.
