Silver Spring Man Spots Suspect in New York Post Pic

To catch a thief, sometimes one needs to look at other newspapers.

A Silver Spring man whose Rolex watch and company credit card were stolen from a locker at Rockville's Manor Country Club on July 13 recognized a photo of the suspect in a New York Post piece,  the New York Post reported.

Bruce Lee recognized the suspect, Luis Paz, because the suspect also had been caught on surveillance video in a Target store shortly after the theft of Lee's watch and credit card. Paz had attempted to purchase an $8,000 Target gift card with Lee's credit card, the New York Post reported.

The photo that Lee saw of Paz in the New York Post was taken after Paz allegedly stole from a New Jersey golf course. Paz was arrested in New York City on Aug. 1. Paz also may have been involved in a theft at the Chevy Chase Club earlier in the day on July 13, the New York Post reported.
