Spring Garden Restaurant Robbed
The robbery at the Silver Spring restaurant on 16th Street took place around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Spring Garden Restaurant in Silver Spring was robbed just after midnight last night, according to Montgomery County Police.
Police said the two suspects confronted a man who had just locked the restaurant’s front doors and who was heading to his car at around 12:30 a.m. They made him get on the ground and threatened to kill him and one of the suspects was armed with a handgun, police said.
When the man complied with their demand to hand over the restaurant’s keys, the suspects forced him back inside Spring Garden, police said.
After threatening the man and his family, the suspects fled with cash taken from their victim and the restaurant, according to the police report.
The first suspect is described as male, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a white shirt, gray running shoes, and black gloves.
The second suspect is described as male, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black boots, black gloves, and a ski mask.
