Update: Stabbing on Glenville Road

The victim of a midday stabbing on Saturday, March 10 was brought to a local hospital while the suspect was taken into custody.

Update, March 13 at 2:30 p.m.

Montgomery County Police have arrested and charged Daniel A. Mason-Arboleda, after he was identified as the suspect in a weekend stabbing incident, according to Montgomery County Spokeswoman Officer Rebbecca Innocenti.

Arboleda and an unidentified 15-year-old witness were walking along the 8800 block of Glenville Road when they encountered the victim, she added.

A verbal disagreement lead to a physical altercation and that's when Arboleda pulled out a knife, Innocenti said.

"The suspect [Arboleda] brandished a folding knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach and neck," she added.

The victim, suspect and witness were all transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Arboleda faces charges of first and second-degree assault, reckless endgangerment, including possessing a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure, according to Innocenti.

A preliminary court hearing is scheduled in a Rockville court Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

A man is in custody after midday stabbing at 8800 Glenville Road Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, but police would not reveal the condition of the victim.

Police officers are on the scene at both the site of the stabbing and at the hospital. No further details are available at this time.
