Work Zone Speed Cameras Make Millions for Maryland

In the first two years of the speed camera enforcement program, a total of $30.7 million in fines have been issued.

Drivers who speed in Maryland are paying the penalty, according to a recent AAA report.

About 16,000 tickets were issued in the work zone on Interstate 495 between the New Hampshire and University Boulevard exits.

These were a part of 399,603 tickets issued in the state of Maryland, according to a Washington Post report.
