Our new "Last Chance" feature lets you know about important upcoming deadlines. Here are some dates that you might not want to miss:

1. The Montgomery County Board of Education is set to meet Tuesday, May 8 at 9 a.m. The seven-hour meeting will cover multiple issues including the re-roofing of Oak View Elementary School and the naming of the downcounty consortium elementary school #29. The PDF of the agenda has been attached.

2. County Executive Isiah Leggett is in search of applicants to fill five vacancies on the Victim Services Advisory Board in the following professional fields: mental health, legal, medical, dental or nursing professions, or representatives of the community as a whole. The board is comprised of 23 board members.

The board makes recommendations for appropriate funding allocations based on available resources, participates in developing an annual victim and family service plan. It also acts as a local advocate for crime victim services programming.
