County Executive Hosts Budget Forum in Silver Spring Tuesday

One of five public meetings held throughout Montgomery County ahead of County Executive's budget proposal.

What should be funded in next year's Montgomery County operating budget? Here's your chance to give the county executive an earful about programs and budget line items that mean the most to you.

Isiah Leggett will host a public forum Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building. 

This will be the fourth in a series of five public meetings across the county. The last meeting will be Feb. 4 at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center at 3300 Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring.

Leggett will announce his recommended fiscal year 2014 operating budget on March 15, and the County Council approves the operating budget at the end of May. 

The county will provide sign language interpreter services upon request with notice as far in advance as possible, but no less than 72 hours prior to the event.
